Welcome to the AFGE Local 4051 homepage.
AFGE Local 4051 is your Union at FCI Manchester. We are here to help and insure that you have a voice. Only with your input and participation can we all continue to work in a safe, secure facility. Get involved today and have your voice heard!
Remember that the monthly Union meeting is held on the last Thursday of every month at 4:30 PM in the Staff Training Center. However, if there is a holiday during that week and then it is usually scheduled for the week prior.
THE AFGE LOCAL 4051 IS WORKING FOR YOU!!!
What new issues will we face in the future? With downsizing, privatization, restricted funding and the continued assault on your rights as an employee no one can be certain. But we will be here to fight for you and your family every step of the way. And rest assured we will use every method we have to keep you informed of the latest issues.
Check out our Frequently Asked Questions page. We have compiled a list of questions we receive on a regular basis on everything from becoming a member to how a roster committee works. As time goes on, and we receive more questions from you we will be adding them to give you one of the best resources available to inform and educate you on your rights and responsibilities.
The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation is a non-profit organization that was created in 1984 by Correctional Officers for Correctional Officers. It's mission is to support the surviving families of Correctional Officers slain in the line of duty. For more information go to www.cpof.org and find out how you can join.
If you see any mistakes, find broken links, have an idea or if you would like to help with the website please contact the Webmaster Corey Walterson, or Dan Ludwig, Union President. Or just shoot us an email and tell us what you think. Your opinion matters. We are the body. Without your input, there is very little that we can address. This is a collaborative effort! So help me help you. I would like to hear from every shift and every department. This is your challenge. Give me an issue or topic of interest to cover and I will put it out there. Thank you!
The next monthly meeting will be on July 29, 2010 at 4:30 PM
at the Training Center!
